BCG members Rich Klein, Ron Hoina, Ken Meccia and Robert Withers helped prepare the Thanksgiving dinner for families at the First Baptist Church of White Plains.
The Breakfast Club Group (BCG), known for its unwavering commitment to the community, has once again demonstrated its generosity, teamwork, and goodwill this holiday season. In collaboration with the First Baptist Church of White Plains, BCG has donated enough money to fund a special Thanksgiving dinner complete with turkey and all the fixins’ right down to the hot apple pie and ice cream for six deserving families of four.
“The members of the BCG work together on a regular basis on a variety of real estate related transactions. We know how to get the job done, so doing this together seemed like a natural fit. Several of us will be I the kitchen helping to make this a great Thanksgiving for these families. This is a time to come together as a community especially durig these challenging times,” stated Robert Withers, cofounder of the BCG and President of M1 Capital in White Plains.
In recognition of this gesture, the First Baptist Church of White Plains took a moment during a recent Sunday Service to offer a heartfelt thank you to BCG. The church expressed their profound gratitude, reinforcing the impact such contributions have in fostering a tight-knit community.
Beyond just financial assistance, several members of the BCG will be rolling up their sleeves and helping in the kitchen. The group invites others to join them on Thursday, November 23rd, from 9:00 am onward, to assist the church's dedicated volunteers in preparing the feast. Those interested in serving the dinner or simply sharing the experience can join at 11:00 am.
"We understand that for many, attending this dinner may be something they haven’t had to do before," said Ken Meccia, co-founder of the BCG and President of Statewide Abstract in White Plains. "We aim to provide a warm and welcoming environment, remembering that everyone needs support at some point in their lives. A dear friend once reminded us of the importance of finding joy in life's unexpected turns, and we hope to share that sentiment with these families,” stated Meccia. He added, “This will be just the first of many Thanksgiving dinners we will organize for the community.”
